Meyer Adler
CHIEF OF DEPARTMENT
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As residents or business owners in the Lawrence or Cedarhurst community, you benefit from the around-the-clock fire protection and emergency medical services provided by our dedicated volunteers.
We can proudly state that our department members are continuing a tradition that is over 142 years old. We are committed to devoting our time to intensive training and responding to emergencies whenever they occur. Our members do not receive any monetary compensation; we do this because we care deeply about you, your families, our business owners, and our community.
Over the years, the scope of our responses to fire and rescue operations has evolved, ensuring that our members continuously enhance their knowledge and expertise. When the alarm sounds, your volunteer firefighters and emergency medical personnel respond with professional skills to structure fires, hazmat spills, carbon monoxide incidents, auto accidents, and incidents on the waterways.
Thank you for your trust and support. We are honored to serve such a wonderful community and will continue to be here for you in times of need.
Warm regards,
Meyer Adler, Chief of Department
Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department
