Dear Friend and Neighbor,
For 142 years, the dedicated volunteers of the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department have been steadfastly serving our community during every moment of crisis, protecting lives and property. We are on call for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
In 2023, our firefighters and medics responded to over 1,830 emergency alarms in our community, including:
Structure fires
Hazardous material spills
Carbon monoxide incidents
Auto accidents
Medical emergencies
Maritime incidents
Our volunteers answer these calls promptly and effectively, thanks to their continual training and dedication to improving their skills. These diverse, non-salaried men and women come from all walks of life, united by a shared commitment to serving others.
The heart of our department lies in the spirit of volunteerism and community service. Each member brings unique strengths and perspectives, enhancing our ability to tackle a wide range of emergencies. This collective expertise, paired with state-of-the-art equipment and ongoing training, ensures that we are always prepared to respond swiftly and effectively when disaster strikes.
However, maintaining this high standard of readiness requires significant resources and comes at increasing costs. From purchasing essential equipment to advanced training programs, our needs are ever-growing. As we look to the future, your financial support becomes even more crucial. By contributing, you help ensure that we can continue providing top-notch emergency services as we have for the last 142 years.
We greatly appreciate your past contributions and are always ready to support you in any way we can. If you have the time and desire to join our team, we would be honored to have you apply and join our ranks. Please feel free to stop by our firehouse to pick up an application.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Michael T. Beilinson
